Liverpool have eight injuries ahead of Rangers visit

Liverpool’s injury woes appear to have resurfaced with a vengeance after it emerged that Joel Matip is the latest name to be sidelined.

The Cameroonian suffered a calf problem that forced him off the pitch during the 3-2 loss to Arsenal, an issue that will keep him in the treatment room for ‘two to three weeks’, according to James Pearce in TheAthletic.

Fortunately, the Merseysiders have quality options waiting in reserve, as Ibrahima Konate recently bounced back from his own injury woes and Joe Gomez remains an option.
