Liverpool have decision to make as Fabrizio Romano shares ‘official’ Moises Caicedo update

Liverpool have looked more confident on the pitch since Jurgen Klopp awarded both Naby Keita and Stefan Bajcetic with starts against Chelsea.

That said, the clear need for investment in the middle of the park simply can’t be avoided any more than the No.8’s injury history or the young Spaniard’s relative inexperience.

One man who could provide a considerable boost to the Reds’ fortunes on the pitch would be Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, who recently underwent a change of agents as conveyed in an ‘official’ update on Twitter by Fabrizio Romano.

However, with the Ecuadorian valued at over £70m, he looks like a signing truly out of reach for the Merseysiders, at least until the summer.

Our 2020/21 campaign offers some hope as to our chances of returning to the top four, although it seems like a comparatively bigger question given the current prowess both Manchester United and Newcastle United display.

Chelsea’s rampant exhibition spending also shows a clear intention by the Blues to fix their current problems on the pitch with some degree of speed.

Liverpool cannot afford to be so bold in the market under our current sustainability policy, but inaction could lead to significant fears materializing with potentially far-reaching consequences.
