Certainly not a bad avenue to explore if finances are flexible enough to cover both the Dutchman and Jude Bellingham in the summer window (should the young Englishman also wish to move to Merseyside).

Both, as things stand, are big conditioning factors, although we imagine our fortunes in the English top flight will have improved significantly in the second half of the season.

We have to finish in the top four at the absolute minimum to get our foot in the door with the Borussia Dortmund star and any possible involvement in the de Jong transfer race will likely also depend on the table presenting Liverpool in a way more positive. see the winter window.

As our previous move for Luis Diaz shows, we are more than capable of catching our man even if he is behind in the race.
