Liverpool are now “confident” they can complete a deal for Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer, according to a report by talkSPORT (via Caught Offside).
Jurgen Klopp is desperate to strengthen his midfield options at the end of the season and while Jude Bellingham is widely believed to be the club’s top transfer target, the German tactician believes Mount could form a great partnership with the Borussia Dortmund star. in the Reds’ midfield.
Chelsea risk losing the England international for free next summer when his current contract expires and are therefore willing to part with the Academy graduate if he receives a respectable offer at the end of the season.
It is unlikely that Graham Potter would like to sell the 24-year-old to a rival, but the report adds that sources close to Mount believe a move to Anfield is highly likely.

The American has so far spent £600m trying to strengthen the Chelsea team, with more than £100m on World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez of Benfica.

We certainly believe Chelsea No. 19 could reach their full potential under Klopp’s watchful eye if he were to complete a move to Merseyside.
The Englishman’s versatility is something that will potentially have caught the eye of our German tactician, as he can operate as part of a three-man midfield or on either side of a three-man front.
This is definitely one to keep in mind.
