Las Vegas, NV – LFA CEO Ed Soares announced that the promotion will return to Brazil with the light heavyweight championship in January. LFA 175 is the fifth LFA event to be held on Saturday and the 14th LFA event to be held in Brazil since the promotion’s international expansion began in summer 2021. This will be the ninth LFA event to be held in Brazil. It will be held in the most populated state of Brazil, São Paulo. The LFA also visited the Brazilian states of Rio de Janeiro and Pernambuco.
LFA 175: López vs. Brigagão presented by BetOnline will take place on Saturday, January 27 at the Ginácio do Polvillo, Cajamar, São Paulo, Brazil.
The main event will feature a light heavyweight title fight, with champion Bruno “Brunan” López defending his title against top contender Marcos “Ironside” Brigagan.
The entire main card will be available worldwide on UFC FIGHT PASS® beginning at 9pm ET/6pm PT.

Lopes looks to become the first 205-pound champion in LFA history to successfully defend his title, while Brigagão looks to prove the hype is real after defeating a tough UFC veteran in the most recent fight of the. López (11-1) is a proud champion from Cotia, in the state of Sao Paulo, west of Sao Paulo, Brazil’s most populous city. He represents both the Chinese team and Thiago Miranda’s team in his home province. There he won his LFA debut, defeating Maylton Azevedo at LFA 136. This assist earned him promotion to Recife at LFA 143 and the opportunity to win the title. López won the LFA gold medal with a quick victory over local Pernambuco star Wilyanedson Paiva. The victory earned Lopez an invitation to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series last summer, but he was unable to secure a contract with the UFC. The 30-year-old will now look to defend his title and seize the opportunity to headline his country’s first LFA event in 2024.
Brigagão (17-6) is a spectacular viewpoint from Tapejara in the Brazilian state of Paraná, located in southern Brazil. The proud Paranaense has now moved from the city of Rio de Janeiro to Niterói, located on the other side of Guanabara Bay. The PRVT product has amassed an impressive record of 17 wins in just his six and a half years in the sport. The most notable win on his resume came in September 2021 with a TKO victory over former LFA title challenger and Dana White Contender Series alum Acacio dos Santos. The man known as ‘Ironside’ is currently aiming for LFA gold as, like the champion, he will return to Brazil after his final tournament in Las Vegas. The 27-year-old won that bout just 10 days after Lopez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series and will look to capture the champion title in his first bout of 2024.
