Leeds United entered the January transfer window with a left-back in mind and the Championship club have made a bid to sign Rangers defender Borna Barisic.
This is according to Football Scotland, who report that the Scottish giants are looking to offer the Croatian international a new contract to ward off potential suitors, as his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Leeds are hoping to take advantage of this situation and be able to persuade the 31-year-old to move to Elland Road this month.
Barisic would bring a lot of experience to Leeds and could be a good option for the rest of the season, as the Yorkshire club would need a better, younger player for the position if they are promoted back to the Premier League.
