Lazio eyeing a January move for Juventus loanee Luca Pellegrini

Lazio have an eye on Juventus loan Luca Pellegrini as he spends this season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bianconeri sent the youngster to the German squad at the start of this season because they wanted him to get more playing time.

He has been involved in their domestic and continental matches but Juve are still not happy with the number of minutes he has and now they are looking to change their temporary home again.

A report on Tuttojuve reveals that he could be called up in the January transfer window and that Lazio are interested in his transfer.

Maurizio Sarri worked with him at Juve and the coach is looking forward to meeting the youngster again.

Juve FC says

Pellegrini was supposed to gain valuable experience and return to Juve as a long-term replacement for Alex Sandro, however he seems to be struggling to make it.

We can still allow him to fight for his place there in the second half of the season or bring him back home. But a move to Lazio should be a permanent transfer because he will have a hard time playing if it’s just a loan deal.

It will be interesting to see if his fortunes change in Germany with the return of football after the World Cup.
