Max Allegri said it was a precautionary substitution and that fans expected him to be in the squad for their trip to Paris, but he did not travel.
The Bianconeri will return to action this weekend when they take on Salernitana in Serie A.
The attacker’s return would be welcome. However, a report on Tuttomercatoweb claims that it is highly unlikely that he will be in the squad for that match.
He claims that the attacker is still struggling and that Juve will not risk him in the game.
Instead, they hope to have him back in the squad when they host Benfica in the Champions League next week.
