“Kyrie Can Make Make Mavericks title contenders”

Kyrie Irving has completed his successful trade to the Dallas Mavericks from the Nets and head coach Jason Kidd says the new addition to Dallas’ roster could make them Championship contenders this season.

Kyrie will team up with fellow All-Star Luka Doncic for the rest of the season and the duo could form an unstoppable offense that could challenge for the Championship this season.

“We felt that the talent and their abilities to make us better is something that we needed. Achieving it will help us put ourselves in a position to win a championship.

“You look at his journey at other stops: he has won where he has gone.”

Kyrie doesn’t come alone though, as the superstar also brings the cloud of controversy that has hung with him for so long on the Nets, but Kidd is willing to look past the negatives.

“It’s easy to see all the negatives that are being talked about, but let’s look at the positives of what he has done on and off the field. That’s the way we’re approaching it,” Kidd said.

“He is all about basketball. He wants to win and he wants to be coached, and this is a great opportunity for me to have someone like that to help out.”

Kyrie is expected to play his first game with the Mavericks on Wednesday night, reportedly when Dallas takes on the Pistons on the road.
