Konate’s classy message to Morocco as the African side make history

Despite being largely responsible for eliminating them from the tournament, Ibou Konate was quick to praise Morocco after they were knocked out of the World Cup at the semi-final stage.

They became the first African nation to reach the final four and ran close to a strong French team but fell 2-0 in Qatar, realizing the size of their achievement, although our number 5 was quick to send a message of congratulations on your social media account.

On Twitter, the 23-year-old wrote (translated): ‘Congratulations to ???????? on this magnificent course ????????’.

Considering his age and the fact that it is not only his first World Cup but that he has just qualified for the final, for the defender to show such quick empathy with his opponents is a sign of the great maturity he also shows on the pitch.

The former RB Leipzig man was easily the best centre-back in the exhibition and he hopes this will be enough to earn him a place in the starting line-up against Argentina, instead of Dayot Upamecano.

He can only praise our man and be thankful that we managed to secure his services last year because it looks like he will be a colossal player for many years to come.
