‘Knockout Chaos’ is coming to the heavyweight division

The heavyweight division is set for ‘Knockout Chaos’ on March 8 when two big punchers take to the ring to watch Riyadh’s season.

Anthony Joshua is the latest to face rookie boxer and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Joshua decided to stay active, as he has done for the past year. The 2023 WBN Comeback winner is aiming for a fourth straight win against Ngannou.

The former unified heavyweight champion puts his reputation on the line, following rival Tyson Fury in trying to stand where “The Gypsy King” failed.

Although Fury ultimately won the fight via split decision last October, his status as a future great in the sport was seriously questioned. Joshua now has the chance to upstage his compatriot by eliminating Ngannou and proving it was a fluke.

Chaos by knockout – Joshua vs Ngannou

Once again, Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena will host a fascinating tagged main event. It is aptly named ‘Knockout Chaos’ after the ‘Day of Reckoning’ effort organized for December 23rd.

Previously, WBA, IBF and WBO world ruler Joshua completed a busy and successful year on the previous card. He defeated Otto Wallin in five rounds in a title attraction.

The victory marked his return to number one in the WBC heavyweight rankings.

Ngannou entered the world of boxing when he competed in the ‘Battle of the Baddest’ against Fury. He opened the Riyadh season on October 28, 2023.

The fight came to life towards the end of the third round when Ngannou landed a left hook to the temple of Fury’s head. The champion was thrown to the canvas and stunned by the force.

Ngannou earned the respect and admiration of boxing fans around the world with a remarkable performance. Now, in what will be his second professional fight, Ngannou faces a big-name British star with three losses on his record.

Many believe this gives Ngannou even more chances due to Joshua’s suspicious chin.

The event is organized in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, Ngannou’s Goldstar Promotions and GIMIK Fight Promotions.
