Many Liverpool fans have publicly called for more midfielders to come to the club and apparently dismissed Jordan Henderson as too old, but our captain was in fine form in the Merseyside derby.
Speaking about the captain after the match, Jurgen Klopp simply called him a “one-man pressing machine”.

That’s the perfect way to describe how he performed against Everton and the high-octane performances we’re used to seeing from the Sunderland-born midfielder.
Maybe the troubles aren’t as bad as many thought and now that we’ve got a leap in our footsteps, the good times may not be too far on the horizon.
