Klopp’s explosive reaction to being asked about safety concerns in Naples

Jurgen Klopp can be a delight at press conferences and light up a room with his wit and smile, but if you ask him the wrong question, it won’t be long before you feel the wrath of our boss.

The German was asked if he thought Naples was a safe city, after our fan service account tweeted the following update to our supporters:

The 55-year-old responded to the security question by saying: “That’s a shameful question of you. You want to create headlines, I really don’t get it.

“Are you from Naples? Are you from Naples? Do you think it is a dangerous city? I don’t know. I don’t live a normal life in Napoli.

“I am protected here, I go to the hotel and now you ask me what I think about Napoli.

“You know exactly what people are talking about. If some supporters meet some supporters, something can happen. That has nothing to do with the city.

“So I don’t know, but I’m not here to make headlines for you.

“And if you don’t know what to ask anymore, no problem, because I would love to go to the hotel to be honest and focus on tomorrow’s game. And it seems that you no longer know what to ask for the question.”

Our boss was clearly ready to end his conversation with the media, but had to wait for his response to be translated into Italian.

Listening to his words translated into the natives, our manager requested “a little aggressiveness” from the man who conveyed his message to the assembled press.

There is rarely a quiet moment when it comes to a normal one.
