Klopp waxes lyrical about 18-year-old who “is doing really well”

Liverpool are going through a difficult period at the moment, but it has provided opportunities for some players in the squad to get more minutes and try to show Jurgen Klopp that they deserve more time on the pitch.

Speaking to the media after the match, the 55-year-old praised one of these players, Stefan Bajcetic: “Obviously it’s one of the rare positives, especially Stefan. There was a door, I’m not even sure it was open, but he ran through it and he was outstanding.

“He’s doing very well right now, I think that’s clear. We have to be a little careful with him, of course, he is very young. He had a yellow card and I don’t even know [if] it was his fault, to be 100 percent honest, but he got a yellow card, so of course he got tired, but [he] he was still very good at the game.

“Every player when he gets tired and has a yellow card is a risk, and we didn’t want to run that. But no, he is doing very well ”.

The 18-year-old impressed massively once again and proved the boss right to be brave enough to play him in such an important game against Chelsea.

It is clear that many of our fans are big fans of the young Spaniard and if a player has the support of the coach and the fans while still a teenager, you know we are on to something good.
