Klopp spots signs Liverpool are getting their ‘monster’ star back at his best

There is no doubt in the mind of any Liverpool supporter or commentator that Fabinho’s drop in form has damaged the club across the pitch.

However, Jurgen Klopp believes we may all be about to witness the return to form of the Brazilian ‘monster’ (named after his compatriot Alisson Becker via the Daily Mail) after his last performance against Napoli in the Liga de Champions.

A clean sheet against the Serie A leaders, who had yet to lose a game in all competitions before their visit to Anfield, should be taken as a potentially serious confidence boost for the German’s men.

It should be noted that the tie in question was, of course, a stalemate as both sides were in no danger of not qualifying for the Round of 16.

Still, we would highly doubt that Luciano Spalletti would have been happy to see his team lose their winning streak against a team as incredibly inconsistent as Liverpool at this point.

Given the importance of Fabinho in not only adding some midfield solidity but also covering the world-class backline, a return to form would significantly increase our chances of winning our remaining matches before the World Cup begins.
