Klopp provides fitness updates on Robertson and Elliott after Leicester win

Liverpool fans are fully aware that January is going to be a big challenge for our team as games start to come fast and dense and Jurgen Klopp had to provide more updates on the fitness of Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott after the game with Leicester City.

Speaking to the media, the 55-year-old said: “Interestingly, Harvey, before the game, injured Robbo a bit. In our warm-up game, he hit him with a knee to the hip, so it was a dead leg. He could play, but then at one point his muscle closed up and he couldn’t play anymore.

“Harvey took a hit, which was quite painful, but when you look at the situation because it’s clear that it’s painful, but that’s about it, I think.”

It would be preferable if our players didn’t injure each other at this stage of the season, but at least it looks like neither guy is hurting too much right now.

With seven players ruled out before the game with Brendan Rodgers’ team, let’s hope the treatment room starts to get less crowded, and quickly.
