Khamzat Chimaev Annoyed With Lack Of Big UFC Fights

UFC superstar Khamzat Chimaev is becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of fights he’s had with potential opponents turning down fights with him. The undefeated UFC welterweight star is sick and tired of her teammates ducking him and trying to take easier fights instead of facing Chimaev.

Khamzat Chimaev calls on fellow UFC fighters to step up

It’s fair to say that Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most prominent and talked about fighters in the UFC right now. The Swedish MMA star is one of the top prospects in the UFC, despite having only six fights in the organization. Chimaev is 6-0 in the UFC now, with three wins by submission, two by knockout and one by decision.

Chimaev was last seen in action in September when he submitted Kevin Holland in Round 1 of their contest. However, Chimaev was originally scheduled to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 279, but he was nearly ten pounds overweight, so he had a late opponent change. Of course, this didn’t matter to Chimaev, as he did what he does best and won the fight convincingly with sheer domination.

However, the 28-year-old admitted that he is frustrated by the lack of opponents in his division willing to fight him. The undefeated Chechen was originally scheduled to fight in March, but that doesn’t seem likely at this point. The Swedish MMA superstar recently posted a video blog for fans of hers in which she claimed that she had been offered numerous fights at numerous venues, but each opponent failed to sign the contract.

“No one wants to fight. Fuck these guys. They gave me four different countries, four different opponents. Nobody wants to fight, ”Chimaev said in his video blog.

“I’m going to fight someone, I don’t know who. They change opponent all the time. Every week I have a new opponent, but no one wants to fight.

“Guys talk bad about me and say ‘I want to fight you, I want to fight you!’ When it comes to fighting and signing the contract, they want to run.”

It remains to be seen if Chimaev actually fights in March, and if so, who he faces. Whether it’s a title shot at middleweight or a top welterweight fight with someone like Colby Covington, Chimaev is desperate to get back in the Octagon and compete as soon as possible.
