Kevin Cronin sets up BIG fight with victory on a mixed day for Kerry

It took 16 months, but Kevin Cronin finally went 5-0 over the weekend.

The Kerry prospect put a frustrating period of inactivity behind him with victory in Manchester on a busy Saturday for Irish boxing.

The Kingdom Warrior singled out Ryan Hibbert at the AJ Hall in Eccles in their first fight since June 2021.

Cronin took out the experienced journeyman and did so for six rounds, meaning he is now eligible for BUI Celtic.

Rumors suggest he’ll be fighting Robbie Burke for a national strap next, with talk of a clash on the November 19 Dublin card increasing week by week.

What a weekend ????⚔ My team and I were happy with the way it came out, especially given so much rust in the ring, Jonathan Lewins and Parkie set up a game plan and I mostly stuck to it, looking back, yeah If I had done it 100%, the detention would have come. . (⬇️⬇️⬇️) https://t.co/FpySFAL4RE

“The deal is pretty much done on my next fight with the Promoter team and the opponents,” Cronin said. “Can’t wait to announce it very, very soon. Keep free on November 19.”

It was not a winning day for Kerry as the Kingdom’s other active pro, Liam Walsh, drew at Leicester.

Ireland’s second-youngest pro looked to get back on track with a Carl Greaves undercard, but followed up his draw against Vasif Mamedov by sharing four rounds of the night with Martin Shaw.
