Juventus wants a Porto star but he has a huge release clause

Juventus are interested in signing FC Porto winger Pepe as they continue to search for talent to strengthen their squad.

The Bianconeri are in the market for new men as they continue to improve the body of players at Max Allegri’s disposal and Pepe is the last player on his radar.

The Bianconeri have an interest in him because he has continued to show that he can deliver on the European stage and for the biggest clubs.

A report on Calciomercato reveals that they are one of several clubs that will try to make him their player in the summer.

However, a move for him is tricky because he has a buyout clause of around €75m, a fee Juve could struggle to pay.

Juve FC says

Pepe is an exciting talent and we will benefit from having him on our team, however a move for him will be too expensive and we must be absolutely sure we need him before adding him to our team.

If he’s not the core player we need, then we should consider alternatives that might be cheaper instead of spending all that money on him.

At the end of the season, more talented players will be available for us to sign, so we shouldn’t rush into a decision.
