Juventus Want to Do a Major Overhaul in Midfield

After dominating Serie A for more than a decade, Juventus is currently going through a period of transition. The Bianconeri failed to finish in the top three in the Italian league during their last two terms. And this time they are off to a very poor start.

Juventus have managed to win only five of their first eleven games in Serie-A. They have picked up just nineteen points so far and are sitting in eighth place in the Serie-A table.

His performance in European competition has been even worse. Juventus lost four of their UEFA Champions League games for the first time in their history. As a result, they have been eliminated from the group stage and their participation in Europe is not yet decided.

The Juventus wants to reinforce his midfield

Now, according to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus want to do a major overhaul of their midfield. They have targeted quite a few midfielders whom they want to sign.

The Biancoenri signed Paul Pogba and Leandro Parades earlier this season to bolster their midfield. Pogba has yet to play a single minute and is currently recovering from injury. Meanwhile, Parades has failed to deliver strong performances so far.

With their recent problems, the Juventus management is currently under a lot of pressure from the supporters. So they are ready to make some drastic decisions and revamping the midfield is one of them.

The first midfielder to be on the Juventus roster is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio. The Serbian midfielder is currently one of the Serie-A players and is valued at more than 100 million euros. He is also targeted by many other top clubs and Juventus’ financial problems make this transfer very difficult.

The second is Houssem Aouar from Lyon. The 24-year-old playmaker was about to leave Lyon during the transfer market. But his Lyon club failed to reach an agreement with many clubs. This shows that Juventus will have to offer a lot of money to get the French midfielder.

The last player on the Juventus roster is Sassuolo midfielder Davide Fratessi. Frattessi, a 23-year-old Italian international, broke into Sassuolo’s starting eleven last season. Since then, he has not looked back. The midfielder has been Sassuolo’s best player in recent weeks. He will cost Juventus around 35 million euros.

Now, before making any transfers, the first thing Juventus will have to do is generate some money through the sale of players. And if they don’t, they won’t be able to sign more players.

Juventus will play Leece in their next match.
