Juventus told they need to splash 50 million for Pau TorresJuvefc.com

Following the departures of Giorgio Chiellini and Matthijs de Ligt last summer, Juventus strengthened their ranks with the arrival of Gleison Bremer.

The Brazilian has been a reliable presence at the back before picking up injury recently, but the Bianconeri still need to tighten up their defence, especially with Leonardo Bonucci looking to be on his last legs.

So according to El Nacional via TuttoJuve, the Italians are still interested in the Spanish international Pau Torres.

This is not the first time the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Turin. But as the source explains, the price of it is still relatively high.

Although his contract with Villarreal expires in 2024, the Spaniards continue to ask for 50 million euros to part with his precious asset.

Torres, a youthful product of the Yellow Submarines who rose through the ranks to become a first-team stalwart. This season he has been present on the pitch during all ten of his team’s league games.

The Spaniard also has 21 caps for the Spanish national team and one international goal to his name.

Juve FC says

Although Pau would make an upgrade on most of our current defenders, management will likely consider his reported price too high.

Perhaps Juventus can find a decent alternative that costs less.
