Juventus set asking price for struggling midfielder McKennieJuvefc.com

Juventus remains poor, especially in midfield and could sacrifice some players in the January transfer window, according to a report from Tuttojuve.

The Bianconeri added Leandro Paredes to that spot in their squad in the summer while shedding Arthur Melo and Denis Zakaria, but things have hardly changed.

The likes of Manuel Locatelli and Weston McKennie haven’t exactly improved on their last season’s performance and the report reveals they could sell the latter in January.

He says the American has to prove he’s worth keeping between now and the end of this year. Juve will fire him for 20 million euros if he does not improve.

Juve FC says

McKennie has been more flattered for cheating since becoming a Juve player and the American probably ran out of time to shine at the club.

We shouldn’t keep him in the group if he can’t consistently deliver for the team.

He and the other flops need to be unloaded to send a message to the entire team that we no longer tolerate mediocrity.

However, you’d be hard-pressed to find a team offering more than half of McKennie’s €20m now.

We can only make that kind of money by selling it if it’s in tip-top shape.
