Juventus players ran more minutes than other Serie A clubs at World Cup

With the 2022 World Cup now in the rear view mirror, players and fans alike will redirect their attention back to the ongoing campaign.

However, the impact of the major international tournament will surely be felt both physically and morally as the clubs prepare to resume their campaign in the days and weeks to come.

According to Corriere della Sera via ilBianconero, Juventus players ran more minutes in the World Cup than their counterparts representing other Serie A clubs.

The Old Lady was the most represented club in Italian football with eleven ambassadors in Qatar, and this statistic translated into the amount of playing time.

In fact, the Bianconeri stars played a total of 2,626 minutes during the course of the tournament, which is almost double the figures recorded by Inter (1,416′), Milan (1,409′) and Napoli (1,368′).

Juve FC says

While it’s always nice to be well represented on the world stage, it remains to be seen if these numbers will ultimately affect the rest of the campaign.

Juventus have already been dealing with a never-ending injury crisis during the early part of the campaign, and now, some of our World Cup participants have returned to Turin with bangs.

So let’s hope the injury situation stays under control in the coming weeks and months.
