Juventus defender Luca Pellegrini has been on Lazio’s radar for the past few weeks and they want him on board this transfer window.
The left-back is on loan this season at Eintracht Frankfurt as Juventus hope he develops well and returns to the club in much better form.
The Germans haven’t been too impressed with him so far and Juve want to shorten his loan spell if possible, with reports now revealing that Lazio are closing in on signing him.
However, a recent update on Calciomercato reveals that Juve are now doubting whether it is sensible to send him to Lazio.
They consider it a rival enhancer and could see them keep him in Germany until the end of the season when he returns to the Allianz Stadium.
Juve FC says
Pellegrini is one of our best young talents and we expect great things from him in the future, so it is no surprise that Lazio are interested.
However, we need him as a replacement for Alex Sandro and we should only sell him if he is not good enough for that role, which should make us sell him to the Biancocelesti, knowing that he is an average player.
