Juventus is increasingly likely to release Alex SandroJuvefc.com

Alex Sandro is currently the only natural left-back at Juventus, and there is a lot of reliance on the Brazilian this season.

Having sent Luca Pellegrini on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt and unable to replace him in the team, Sandro will be our key man in that role this term.

However, this could also be his last season in black and white. The Brazilian international has been declining over the years.

His current contract also expires at the end of this season, and there has been no offer of a new one.

A report on Calciomercato reveals that he is unlikely to receive an extension to his current contract.

Instead, Juve are already planning for life without him, and have made Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo a key target.

The Spaniard is also exhausting his contract in Portugal and will move to Juve as a free agent.

Juve FC says

Sandro has put in some good performances for this club over the years. However, he is not getting better.

As he gets older, we don’t expect his performance to improve, which makes it smart to let him go and sign younger players there.

If Grimaldo joins and Pellegrini returns, we could be well covered in that place next season.
