Juventus defender gets high praise for his performance against Nantes

Alex Sandro is one of the most criticized Juventus players in recent seasons and the left-back is expected to leave the club at the end of this term.

However, it looks like she would go away with a bang after turning in one of her best black-and-white performances last night.

Sandro was in top form against Nantes in France and almost added a goal to his overall performance on the night.

After his excellent performance in the match, Calciomercato rated him 7/10 and added:

“Only Lafont, with two beautiful parades, denies him the goal. He doesn’t push like in the best of times, but his arm in the three-way defense has found continuity. And in the final save a goal”.

Juve FC says

Sandro hasn’t looked good for much of the past two seasons, which explains why he appears to be on his way out of Juventus.

However, last night’s performance was a reminder of how good he can be when he’s on his day and might make us rethink his future.

The left-back still has time to get a new contract and, if he maintains his level for the rest of the term, he could sign a new contract.
