Last night, the AIC held the awards ceremony for the Gran Gala del Calcio, which pays tribute to the best of the previous campaign.
Although Juventus had had a forgettable season, some of their players were still collecting awards, albeit mainly for their exploits before joining the club.
For example, Dusan Vlahovic and Gleison Bremer were included in the best XI formation of the season.
In addition, the organizers recognized Federico Gatti as the best player in Serie B in 2021/22.
The defender enjoyed a breakout campaign at Frosinone, leading Juventus to jump ahead of the competition by sealing his move in January.
The Italian joined the ranks of Max Allegri in the summer but has only made two appearances so far this season.
Nonetheless, Gatti still feels joining Juventus was a dream come true, while also identifying Giorgio Chiellini as his idol.
“I have to thank those who voted for me, my colleagues. It is an honor to receive such an award, it motivates me to aim higher”, said the former Frosinone defender after receiving the award from him via Calciomercato.
“Juventus is a dream that has come true. Now it is a reality that I must exploit to the fullest.
“My idol is Chiellini. But even now I have great role models in the locker room, from Bonucci to Danilo to Bremer. I try to learn from them every day, taking note of the little details.”
