Juventus continues to monitor AS Roma defender Smalling

Juventus are one of the clubs that are aware of developments at AS Roma as they are interested in a multi-player move from Giallorossi.

Nicolo Zaniolo and Rick Karsdorp have been on his radar recently and he continues to push to add them to his team at the right price.

Another man who could be robbed from José Mourinho’s team is Chris Smalling, who has been in excellent form this season.

Injuries have plagued the Englishman in the past, but now he is doing very well physically and has been delivering some of the best performances for the club in Serie A.

He would be a free agent in the summer, but Roma are desperate to prevent that from happening and are looking to land him on a new contract as soon as possible.

But Tuttomercatoweb reveals that he is not that interested in extending his stay with them and Juve are waiting for encouragement to get him to leave before they move to sign him.

Juve FC says

Smalling has been an incredible player for Roma and one of the best defenders in Serie A this season.

However, the defender is likely to sign a new contract with Roma rather than move to Juve because he will get guaranteed playing time there if he doesn’t move.
