Serie A giants Juventus will have to spend €15m to secure the services of Spanish winger Álvaro Odriozola from Real Madrid.

Alvero Odriozola joined the Real Sociedad academy at a very young age, the winger later climbed the ranks and was promoted to the Real Sociedad subsidiary.

The Spaniard played four seasons in the Sociedad subsidiary before making his debut with the first team in 2017. He then established himself as a starter in the Sociedad squad. But just a year after his promotion to the main team, Odriozola joined Spanish giants Real Madrid for a €30m fee.

Odriozola failed to secure his place in the starting eleven and signed for Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. He won the UEFA Champions League with the Bavarians and returned to Real Madrid. The fullback then played for Fiorentina in the last season.

Now, according to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Juventus have identified Álvaro Odriozola as a potential entrant in the January transfer window.

After dominating the Serie-A for more than a decade, Juventus is currently going through a transition phase. The bianconeri have failed to finish in the top three during their last two terms. And even this year they are off to a very poor start.

Juventus have won just five of their first eleven games. So with nineteen points from these eleven games, they are currently in eighth position in the table. The performance of Allegri’s team in European competition has been even poor.

For the first time in history, Juventus lost four of their first five games in the UEFA Champions League. This also includes a humiliating defeat against Israeli club Maccabi Haifa. As a result, Juventus has been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and even its participation in the Europa League is not yet confirmed.

Juventus management now want to bolster their squad with some arrivals in the upcoming January transfer window. They will have to reinforce multiple positions and the right back is one of them. Hence, Juventus is interested in Real Madrid’s right back, Álvaro Odriozola.

Odriozola has fallen out of favor at Madrid. The Spanish international has now become a third-choice right-back for Los Blancos. They want to get rid of the former Real Sociedad player if an offer arrives.

Real Madrid will reportedly be happy to transfer the full-back if Juventus want to pay around €15m. Although Juventus are currently in financial trouble, this is an amount they can still afford. Securing Odriozola will give them defensive solidarity at the back.

Juventus will play Leece in their next match. Allegri’s team hopes to return to winning ways.
