Serie A giants Juventus are interested in signing Uriguyan defender José MarÃa Giménez from Spanish team Atlético Madrid.
Born in Toledo, Giminez began his football career in the Uruguayan club Danubio’s academy.
The centre-back later graduated from the Danubio academy and was promoted to the main team. Giminez played one season for the Uruguayan team before joining Spanish team Atlético de Madrid in the summer of 2013.
The defender settled little by little in the starting eleven and became one of the most important players of the Spanish team. He won two La Liga titles, one Europa League title, one European Super Cup and one Spanish Super Cup title. Giminez has made more than 70 appearances for his Uruguay national team.
Juventus plans a move for Giménez
