Speaking after the match, Kounde admitted his disappointment with the result. He insisted that Barcelona did not play badly, but said that he must have committed a foul before Real Madrid scored the first.

“Really disappointed,” Kounde told DAZN. [via SPORT]. “We haven’t played badly, but in the first half we failed where they are strong, in transitions.

“We should have committed the foul to prevent the first goal and the second is the same. That is the strength of Madrid. Two occasions, two goals. We have to learn that.“

Meanwhile, the result saw Barcelona fall to second place in the points table while Real Madrid regained their place at the top.
