Journalist gives update on Bellingham Liverpool fans will not want to hear

Jude Bellingham’s future will be one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window, with the youngster’s future still to be decided.

Speaking on the Die Dortmund-Woche podcast via GOAL, trusted Sport1 chief reporter Patrick Berger has stated that Liverpool are certainly on pole position at the moment, but the Merseyside club’s current situation has raised questions in Bellingham’s mind on a move to Anfield.

The journalist says that if Liverpool were on their way to qualifying for the Champions League, Bellingham could have already made the decision to join the club, something that will make Reds fans sigh to hear.

Berger also claimed that Bellingham has already turned down a move to both Chelsea and PSG this summer, as one of the three mentioned clubs will be where he ends up.

Liverpool’s situation also gives Borussia Dortmund some hope of retaining the youngster, as a €15m-per-year offer from the Bundesliga club is said to be in the pipeline, according to the report.

If the 19-year-old really wants to join Liverpool, he could wait another year to see if his situation improves before settling on his next club.
