Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M Face Injury Crisis on Offensive Line Plus Suspensions Elsewhere

Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M face offensive line injury crisis plus suspensions elsewhere – originally posted on Sportslens.com

This year has been tough for the Texas A&M Aggies and head coach Jimbo Fisher. Expectations were high as the season began and the team was ranked number six in college football. But things didn’t go as planned and the Aggies are 3-4 on the season and face a trio of injuries to their offensive line plus some suspensions for this week’s game against Ole Miss.

Lost trio on the offensive line

As if Jimbo Fisher didn’t have enough to deal with so far this season, he’s now dealing with an injury crisis on his offensive line. Three players who have started this season will miss this week’s game with Ole Miss.

Bryce Foster, Jordan Spasojevic-Moko and Aki Ogunbiyi will be out for the rest of the season. Foster and Ogunbiyi have started four games this season, while Spasojevic-Moko has started two.

Fisher has already had to switch and trade on the offensive line this season and attributes some of the offensive struggles to that.

“I’m not trying to make an excuse,” Fisher said. “But you’re talking about calls, you’re talking about chemistry.”

It will be a young and inexperienced front that takes the field against 15th-ranked Mississippi at the weekend.

Three freshmen suspended

In other bad news for Fisher, three freshmen from the No. 1 recruiting class of 2022 will also be suspended for the game.

The three who have been suspended are cornerback Denver Harris, offensive tackle PJ Williams and wide receiver Chris Marshall. For Marshall and Harris, this is their second suspension of the year. Both missed the Miami game after violating team rules.

The Aggies are currently just 1.5 points behind for the game that starts at 7:30 pm EST on Saturday night. Jimbo’s seat is heating up and he likely needs a win to avoid some pressure.
