James Milner reveals his secrets to remaining so fit at 36

James Milner’s football legacy will likely be how consistent and successful he has been on the pitch for so many years and our vice-captain has made it clear how he remains at the top of his fitness.

Speaking to Ben Foster on Amazon Prime, the 36-year-old said: “You need luck, desire, hunger and a work rate to stay in shape… that’s the mentality of wanting to be the best and wanting to make young people feel sick in the running sessions!”.

It’s so typically self-deprecating of the Leeds-born veteran to put luck so high on his list, as it’s so clear that he works incredibly hard in order to play at the highest level of the game.

Not just a bodybuilder though, the versatile team player is so talented that he can not only keep playing, but can comfortably play in many areas of the pitch.
