Jadon Sancho receives massive boost from Erik ten Hag amidst “mentally and physically unfit” declaration – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have offered a helping hand to struggling star Jadon Sancho.

This comes after United manager Erik ten Hag agreed a plan between himself and Sancho to revive the winger’s fortunes at Old Trafford.

Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail reports that the club and manager have offered support to Sancho after he was declared mentally and physically unfit.

This move comes in the midst of Ten Hag hiring the services of Rainier Koers, a high performance coach to advise the players.

The Dutch manager has also made massive changes to sleep and nutrition schedules in his efforts to gain a small lead before club football resumes.

Sancho’s difficulties mean he won’t join the rest of the team until he’s in top shape.

Since the World Cup break, Sancho has been out of the team following a separate individual training programme. He has also been training with a Dutch amateur club to get him back in shape.

Ten Hag was recently questioned about Sancho and refused to put a time stamp on when the Englishman will join his colleagues.

Athletic’s Andy Mitten reports that Sancho has not been exiled and that Ten Hag has simply taken this radical move in response to the striker’s recent struggles for both club and country.

Sancho’s poor performances with the Red Devils led to him losing his place in the England team.

Mitten relays: “Ten Hag had a series of conversations with Sancho to agree on a plan to get him back on track in terms of fitness and mentality.”

Regarding Sancho’s physical condition, Ten Hag stated: “First we didn’t see him in the last games with United, so he wasn’t in the right state, in the right physical state; so he now he’s on a solo show and we want that show to end and hopefully we’ll see him back soon.”

According to Mitten, both the Dutch coach and Sancho reached a consensus that it was necessary to do it away from United’s base in Carrington or in Spain.

Ten Hag added of his plan for the 22-year-old: “Afterwards, we got a level drop and sometimes you don’t know why or what’s causing it. That’s what we’re doing now, trying to investigate and now we’re trying to get him back there.”

The United manager offered an explanation for Sancho’s dramatic decline in form.

Ten Hag commented that it may have happened slowly under his nose. The United manager also said that he first observed this, but then the statistics showed that his fears were real. Another reason Ten Hag spearheaded Sancho’s misfortune is missing out on England’s World Cup team.

Sancho has consistently returned home to London as he continues his individual show. Ten Hag completed his evaluation by saying that he intends to bring the player back as soon as possible.
