Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen has been described as a “brilliant madman” by a leading Italian journalist.
As reported on Sport Witness, journalist Gianni Visnadi has praised the in-form striker.
Osimhen has built a reputation as one of the best shooters in Europe and Visnadi feels he is in the shape of his life this season.
“I’m crazy about Osimhen and I think he’s a fantastic player, Osimhen is crazy because he does things that others don’t even think about, this year he’s showing who he really is.” he said
Visnadi called Osimhen a “brilliant madman” when describing one of his last goals for Napoli.
“Only a brilliant madman can make that play (the goal), the genius of making that shot there is extraordinary.” he said
Visnadi went on to praise the people who brought Osimhen to Napoli, who he feels is now playing at the top of his game.
“Congratulations to whoever chose it. It is a well-polished jewel so that it shines as it deserves”. he said.
Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, with United in the market for a top-class center forward, this summer.
The Nigerian-born striker is averaging almost a goal per game this season, helping Napoli pull a 13-point lead at the top of Serie A.
It would take a huge collapse for Napoli to give up their huge lead and Osimhen is closing in on the first league title of his career.
At 24, Osimhen has the potential to give Erik ten Hag and United the best part of a decade of service at the top of his game.
His pace, power and finishing ability would be a perfect fit for Ten Hag’s attacking style as he and United plan their return to the top of European football.
