Manchester City signed Norwegian striker Erling Haaland at the start of the season after paying his £51m release clause to his former team Borussia Dortmund.
At the time of this transfer, there were many doubts as to whether he will be able to adapt to the English Premier League. Many football pundits and fans did not understand how Erling Haaland will be able to play in pep Guardiola’s setup.
Since then, Haaland has blasted all his critics and has been a sensation for Manchester City so far. Haaland transfer rumors keep Manchester City under pressure
Now Erling Haaland has already become one of the best players in the world. The striker is followed by some of the top teams including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Even this was normal. But when Haaland’s father said that his son wants to prove himself in every league in the world, he surely became a bit of a problem for Manchester City.
It was later revealed that Erling Haaland has a £200m release clause in his contract that will be valid for teams outside of England from 2024. The amount will rapidly decrease in subsequent years.
This made the situation even more difficult for the Manchester City management. However, Manchester City previously sold out many superstars who wanted to move on from the club.
So basically the problem for City is not Erling Haaland moving to a new place. The problem is the constant rumors and news that can hinder the unity of his locker room.

Speaking of the same, Dortmund’s Sebastian Kehl told Sport Bild: “As much as we always loved Haaland and he was successful with us, in the end he became a burden on the dressing room, the club and the whole environment.”
