Intermediary reveals Bologna refused to discuss Arnautovic with JuventusJuvefc.com

Juventus was keen to bolster its squad with several new players in the latest transfer window.

They had just finished a season without a single trophy and that required them to make new signings to avoid a repeat of the situation.

The club backed Max Allegri with some new players, but struggled to get a new experienced striker, as the manager had requested.

One player who caught his eye was Marko Arnautovic from Bologna.

He joined them after returning from China and scored in double figures last season.

The bianconeri contacted Bologna through an intermediary, but they rejected the consultation.

Marco Busiello, who worked on the deal, has now opened up about what happened.

He said, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb:

“The Bianconeri asked for information about the boy, as is normal given that we are talking about a great center forward in full psychophysical maturity. Bologna, however, never wanted to talk about it.

“The directors of Rossoblù have always considered Arnautovic unsaleable. He would adapt to any team, starting with Bologna, which I think will keep him together”.

Juve FC says

Arnautovic is one of the best strikers in Serie A and Bologna could be relegated if they lose him. That alone should make them ignore Juve’s interest and stick with it.

We finally signed Arkadiusz Milik, and the Polish international has done well so far.
