Paul Ince has claimed that Jude Bellingham has the potential to become a ‘world-class player’ in the future, but has urged the 19-year-old not to rush his departure from Borussia Dortmund.
The former Birmingham City star has enjoyed two successful years since swapping the Championship for the Bundesliga and there are a number of clubs across Europe, including Liverpool, reportedly interested in signing him.
The teenager is currently valued in the region of £130m by Dortmund, but with the promising potential the midfielder shows, coupled with his already impressive experience, that’s a fee that won’t scare off potential suitors.
Bellingham is already a full-fledged England international and has gained vital Champions League experience with the Yellows, something he should consider before seeking a departure from the club according to the ex-Red Ince.
“I think the boy is a very good player,” Ince said while speaking to FairBettingSites (via Liverpool Echo). “I saw him when he was at Birmingham and I think he surprised some when he went to Dortmund at such a young age. But, you know, he was brave enough to come out. Some people don’t, especially English players who don’t like to go abroad.
“We see it happening more recently than when I left for Italy. But for him to go to Dortmund and start every game and play the way he’s doing has been great for him. Obviously, there’s a lot to talk about when he comes back. You have to be careful because obviously when Sancho returned from Dortmund he didn’t pass him immediately.

“I think he should enjoy his football there for as long as possible and enjoy playing regularly in the Champions League. If he wants to come back, I think there will be some suitors behind him: City, Chelsea, Liverpool, many; for sure he has the potential to be a world class player”.
Liverpool have reportedly made Bellingham their top priority, either in January or at the end of the season.
The reported fee that Dortmund will be requesting for their star man is stunning and would see the Anfield side break their current transfer record, but when you consider how much potential the Englishman is showing and combine that with the fact that he has over a decade of promising years ahead, the fee doesn’t look so bad after all.

As Ince has pointed out, Bellingham is to be commended for having the confidence and willingness to leave England to develop and that is exactly what he has done.
He is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in Europe at the moment and seems to be able to do it all when he is on the pitch.
It looks like a true all-rounder and whether you want it to feel good and protect the defense or press and score a goal for your team, it looks like it will be able to do exactly what you want it to do.
The prospect of him in the red shirt is truly exciting, but we understand that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea, to name a few, will also relish their chances of securing his signature.
