(Image) Graphic comparing Liverpool’s current campaign to their previous nine shows Klopp’s side really are in a ‘crisis’

Liverpool’s start to the season has been far from ideal and things continued to go from bad to worse yesterday at Molineux as the Reds lost 3-0.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were two games away from completing a glorious quadruple last season, but this time they are experiencing a very different campaign.

Outside of the FA and League Cups, tenth in the table and 11 points behind Newcastle, fourth, winning the Champions League is the Anfield team’s last hope of winning a trophy this year.

And while injuries to key players certainly haven’t helped, a picture comparing Liverpool’s current campaign to the previous nine shows just how bad things are right now.

Athletic’s James Pearce said yesterday that the Merseysiders are in a “real crisis” and that we are 13 points below our tally from this stage last season and have not had a bad start to a Premier League campaign as this from the 2014-15 season when Brendan Rodgers was still at the helm.

We understand there’s still a long way to go this season, but instead of looking sharper and showing signs of life, it actually feels like we’re getting worse by the week.

The players no longer press with the same intensity as before and it seems that the hunger to succeed is gone.

However, Klopp is the right man to get us back to our best level, and we have every support for the German tactician.
