Lazio president Claudio Lotito has acknowledged that Felipe Anderson’s future is in the player’s hands amid Juventus’ interest in the Brazilian winger.
Currently in his second spell with Lazio, Anderson’s stay at the club could end at the end of this season. The Brazilian has caught the attention of both Juventus and Inter Milan, making it difficult for Lazio to get him a new contract.
Although Lazio offered Anderson a new contract, he delayed signing, hinting at his desire to move away from Roma in the summer. Juventus wants to expand his options and is willing to compete with Inter Milan for his signature.
Efforts are being made behind the scenes at Juventus to reach a possible agreement, taking into account that, until the end of the season, players cannot enter into talks with clubs in the same association.
Lotito, aware that Anderson could leave, has been questioned about the player’s future in recent discussions.
He said, quoted by Il Bianconero:
“For me he is like a son, but I don’t want to force anyone. He must make a decision with total autonomy. He just has to understand that here he is considered one of the family and that he is an important element. “I am not an optimist but I am not a pessimist either.”
Juve FC says
Anderson knows that Juve and Inter are bigger clubs, and we have to focus on making sure Inter don’t win the race for his signature because they now appear to be done with Lazio.
