I will begin today’s column with the Radu Dragusin situation, since we have had a new twist in the saga. Last night, Bayern Munich sent a formal offer to Genoa to hijack the defender’s deal to join Tottenham.
What happens next depends only on the player: in the next few hours Dragusin will decide his future. Both Bayern and Spurs agreed on a remuneration with Genoa, Bayern also presented its salary offer to Dragusin so now it will be the player who will decide in the next few hours.
As previously reported, Tottenham have agreed to loan Djed Spence to Genoa as part of their deal for Dragusin, while Bayern are offering a bit more money but no players are involved. Bayern have also sent a significant salary offer to Dragusin, while the club’s project has been presented to the Romanian centre-back. Bayern is pressing because they want to take over the agreement, but now we will have to see what the player decides to do.
For the Spurs, it is still early to talk about alternatives, as they remain focused on Dragusin, and yesterday they maintained confidence after reaching a personal agreement with the player. It is a situation that can change quickly, but at the time of writing there is no other plan as they remain focused on Dragusin.
Of course, we know Spurs were interested in Jean-Clair Todibo, but I’m not sure he’s available on the market. It seemed like a difficult deal in December, so it could be the same now. Another player appreciated by Spurs is Loic Bade at Sevilla, but there is nothing concrete yet because we are still focused on Dragusin. Let’s see what will happen later today.
Yesterday I told an interesting story about Jordan Henderson and the possibility of a move to Ajax. There are other clubs interested and following the situation, but I am told that Ajax are pushing to find a way.
Of course, the crucial detail to watch will be whether Al Ettifaq will open the doors for Jordan to leave, the terms of the deal and more. Regarding other clubs, I still don’t have precise information so I prefer to wait and then we’ll see if they really move.

There has been a lot of talk about different reasons why Henderson wants to move, with one rumor relating to concerns over his place in England for Euro 2024. My feeling is that it’s not about being a smart strategic move, it’s more of a personal decision. . “I don’t want to judge people’s life choices, Jordan has a family before being a football player and that’s why he will be the one to explain the meaning of his decision.
Jadon Sancho – This agreement is a matter of time, Sancho’s agreement with Borussia Dortmund is progressing well and quickly. We’ll see today/tomorrow, but BVB remains optimistic, from what I hear there is no problem, it’s just time to be patient.
Hannibal Mejbri – I think it is an important week for Hannibal’s loan decision. Sevilla continues to push to have him, they are favorites but Everton wants to try until the end. Further contacts will be made in the coming hours to make the final decision.
Aaron Ramsdale – The Arsenal goalkeeper is now reportedly hoping to stay at the club in January, but to be honest, I never had any different information… there was never a deal for Ramsdale until now. We never know what can happen in the market, but I like to describe reality rather than predict the future and the reality is that Arsenal have never opened talks with any club to sell Ramsdale, at least so far.
