Jordan Henderson is not only the captain of Liverpool Football Club on the pitch, but also off it, and meeting a young supporter at the International Day of Disabled Persons celebration shows how important he is to the entire community.
Young Red Joel was given the chance to play with our skipper and, being told he would never be able to walk or talk again after a tragic swimming pool accident on a family vacation, was even able to kick a ball. he is a great example of how far he has come.

Meeting up with Joel and his mother, the Sunderland-born midfielder vowed he’ll say hi to him next time he’s at Anfield and he clearly meant a lot to the couple.
It is good to see that good things can still happen from tragic events and that the club is involved in initiatives as important as the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
