Having injured players back can boost Chelsea for last push – Talk Chelsea

One of the many reasons I refuse to write off our season and our Champions League qualification is because of the number of players who will soon be back from injury.

The prospect of having our recovering players back in the team soon gives me real hope and a huge boost.

The likes of Wesley Fofana, N’Golo Kante, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and even Denis Zakaria have been missing lately with injuries. But getting that part of the players back very soon now will really help Chelsea push forward as they attack the second half of the season, and along with all the new signings that have come in, it will make Chelsea that much stronger and help them get back to upload. table.

Qualifying for the Champions League is very important, and I remain adamant and passionate about the fact that we still need to sign another new midfielder this month in order to really fight for him this season, but returning injured players will be huge of anyway.

James and Chilwell should be available for the next game against Fulham, and Fofana and Zakaria should not be left behind. Kante is also coming back in February/March, so even that isn’t that far off now.

They will need all of these players as they look to climb from mid-table in 10th, move back towards a more respectable end to the season, and even the Chamions League competition, which they are still in, of course.

Some of these returning guys will be better than any new signing!
