Harry Maguire may have to leave Manchester United due to his good performances for England during the World Cup in Qatar.
That’s as reported by Sky Dharmesh Sheth, who believes that while a winter trade is unlikely, Maguire could leave the Red Devils in the summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ World Cup podcast, Sheth said: “I can’t see it happening in January and there’s no men’s tournament in the summer.
“I think I can see Harry Maguire at United at least until the summer.
“But if he’s in a position where he’s not getting the football he wants and regular football that maybe Gareth Southgate will look at and say, ‘You’ve got to play regularly’, I can see something could happen next. summer.
“He is the captain and he is not playing. If that is not going to change, he is now of an age and it is usual in England, where he will need to play first-team football regularly.
“United will also have to make a decision because they spent £80m on him. The defender has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford, with Rapahel Varane and Lisandro MartÃnez forging a fantastic partnership at the heart of Man United’s defence.

United would arguably do well to move their captain immediately after the World Cup, with their stock currently as high as it has been since they signed him.
But given Varane’s problems with recurring injuries and a lack of defensive depth, doing so without securing a replacement would be unwise for a team facing as congested a schedule as the Red Devils.
It looks like a summer move though. Maguire almost looks like a different player away from Old Trafford and a transfer could suit all parties.
Replacing him with a young defender on the left side could be a smart option for the team’s balance, with Lisandro Martinez the only natural left-back center back on the team.
