Haaland has described Guardiola as a “football fanatic” and “crazy” about the beautiful game. The 22-year-old also said that Guardiola always thinks about how to improve, adding that this is an attribute he likes about his Man City manager.

“He’s a soccer fan like me,” Haaland told Telemundo Deportes. “We both love football. He was a player and now he is a coach, and he is crazy about football”.

“That is something that I like a lot because he thinks about everything and how we can improve. That’s something I like about him.”

Haaland, meanwhile, was instantly up and running at Man City following his arrival at the Premier League side. He made his competitive debut for City in their 3–1 loss to Liverpool in the FA Community Shield final.
