Guardiola declares admiration for ‘exceptional’ Jude Bellingham

Liverpool fans will not be very happy to see and hear the words spoken by Pep Guardiola, about a certain Jude Bellingham, after the match between the pair last night.

The England international put Borussia Dortmund in front of the night with a great headed goal and the Manchester City manager was full of praise for him after the match.

The 51-year-old said: “He impressed me two seasons ago when he was 17. Now he’s 19… he was good at 17, imagine now at 19.”

“He is able to follow [Ilkay] Gundogan, Kevin [De Bruyne]he wins the duels, the transitions are quick, to make sense in the area for the goal he scored.

“So yes, an exceptional player. I think everyone knows it, not because the Manchester City manager says so, everyone knows it.”

It is not the news that we wanted to hear and it sounds a lot like a public declaration of adoration of the Spanish.

There is no doubt that the 19-year-old will have plenty of suitors this summer, but one team we would rather not compete with would be the Etihad outfit.
