Gravina says no one is to blame for the VAR mistake in Juventus vs SalernitanaJuvefc.com

The president of the Italian Football Federation, Gabriele Gravina, commented on the recent VAR fiasco and admitted that no one is to blame.

The technology incorrectly considered Leonardo Bonucci offside when Juventus scored what should have been a winner against Salernitana at the weekend.

Arkadiusz Milik had the ball in the back of the net in added time, but Bonucci had tried to attack the ball from what looked like an offside position.

After reviewing the goal on the television screen on the pitch, the referee whistled for offside.

Further checks later showed that the Juve defender had played in playing position.

It caused another debate about VAR, and Gravina insists no one was to blame.

He said, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb:

“The image shown later was not available, there is a production of images that is not in The Hague, nor from the referees, nor from the Var. This production has made available some images that have been viewed and the referees have seen what unfortunately turned out to be a mistake. Neither the referees nor the Var were wrong. “

Juve FC says

We’ve fallen victim to this technology again, and it’s probably time to hold someone accountable or scrap it.

We’ve been on the receiving end of some poor VAR decisions of late, and it makes little sense that we continue to suffer from injustice.
