The first images of what Katie Taylor will look like in the first boxing game to come out in a decade have been released.
Made by the developers, Steel City’s interactive ‘Esports Boxing Club’ has been in development for over two years. The game is the first officially licensed boxing game since EA’s Fight Night Champion, which launched in March 2011, and some of the sport’s biggest names past and present will appear in it, including Taylor.
The Irish icon was confirmed as a playable boxer last year and graphics of his character were shared last week.
Taylor’s old enemies Jessica McCaskill, Natasha Jonas and Delfine Persoon have also signed on to take part, as has Taylor’s greatest rival of all time, Claressa Shields. It will be interesting to see how each is rated and, in particular, how the figures attributed to Taylor and Shields compare.
Fans got a glimpse of what the undisputed lightweight world champion will look like in the game, as Taylor shared images of her character late last week.

The release date is currently unknown as the company continues to gather more licenses and create more game modes. It was going to be released at the end of last year, but there have been delays. The game will be released for all Xbox/One, PS4/5 and PC gaming platforms.
