Former Liverpool player Glenn Johnson believes Marcus Rashford is destined to leave Manchester United for a ‘galactic’ club.
In a recent interview, Johnson spoke about how the Englishman might be tempted to join one of the European giants if an offer came his way.
“I’m a big fan of Rashford, and when he pushes and he’s at his best, then he’s unstoppable.”
“I have no doubt that Real Madrid would want to sign him if he is going to leave for less than he should if his contract is not too far from expiring.”
“Will he be good enough to fill Benzema’s shoes?
“We won’t know until he’s playing in the Champions League week after week for them. It certainly has the potential to do it.”
Rashford looks like he’s back to his explosive best this season.
Erik ten Hag seems to have pulled a tune from the 25-year-old, who looks lively once again.
While he still has to improve in many ways, mainly decision-making, his hard work on and off the field will help him grow as a player.
United will seek to avoid any potential negotiations to sell its prized asset.
Rashford generates immense commercial income from his off-field activities, and United would not want to let him go so easily.
Johnson went on to say:
“When teams like PSG and Real Madrid love you, you are 100% interested in them.”
“Obviously he’s from Manchester and he’s already at a big football club, but if any footballer tells you they’re not interested in even chatting with a club like Real Madrid, they’re lying to you.”
